Talented South Dakota Singer Confirms ‘American Idol’ Exit
A young Mitchell, South Dakota singer has her time cut short on one of the biggest stages on television.
Unfortunately, Black Hills State University student from South Dakota Logan Culhane is not moving on to the Top 24 on ABC's American Idol. But she's ready to share her "Idol" journey with her social media followers, including her first original song!
Logan did secure her "Golden Ticket" on American Idol to make it to Hollywood Week. Since none of her "Idol" performances ever aired on television, Logan told her followers and friends the songs she performed for judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan, and Lionel Richie.
- Logan's Audition song: "Creep" by Radiohead
- Hollywood Week performance: "Rising Sun" by The Animals
These songs can be very challenging to sing. But Logan explains she nailed her "Idol" performances. Country singer Luke Bryan mentioned how much she improved between songs and Logan was "hitting the notes with ease." But with so many talented people like Logan, the judges were forced to make tough decisions. Logan was not part of their plan for this season of American Idol. She was picked as a finalist for Season 22.
