
South Dakota Police & Family Still Search for Missing 23-Year-Old
It's been one year since the now 23-year-old South Dakota woman from the Rosebud Reservation named Savannah Standing Bear went missing.
Savannah's family and loved ones have not stopped searching for her after she disappeared in Parmelee, South Dakota on March 24th, 2025. Have you seen her?

What We Do Know About Savannah
Savannah was 22-years-old when she vanished. She's an American Indian/Alaskan Native who has brown eyes, weighs about 140 pounds, and is 5'5''.
South Dakota Missing Persons has the other details at the time Savannah went missing, which are limited.
Savannah was last seen wearing a black sweater, blue jeans and NIKE shoes. Savannah has a tattoo of "Gayla" under her right eye.
Throughout the year during their investigations, local authorities and officers from the Rosebud Sioux Tribal Police Department have worked together to bring Savannah Standing Bear home. Officials say this has been a collaborative effort between FBI, BIA-MMU, Rapid City Police Department and the United States Attorney’s Office from the start. At the time of Savannah Standing Bear went missing, a Facebook post from the Rosebud Sioux Tribal Police Department explain Savannah could be anywhere. Including off the reservation.
Volunteers were also looking alongside the Rosebud Sioux Tribal Police Department, especially when tips were called in. It shows that any information could help save a life.
We appreciate the all the volunteers and Tribal Programs assisting the Rosebud Sioux Tribes Emergency Preparedness Program in the local searches. We will continue to follow all leads given to us no matter where they take us.
This has been a tough year for Savannah's family and friends, but they haven't given up hope. There isn't a day that goes by that her father Severt, doesn't look for her.
