It is always tough on families when a loved one goes missing. Right now, a Sioux Falls family is hoping their young 14-year-old will come back home soon.

Joslynn Mousseau of Sioux Falls has been missing since Wednesday, March 18th. Police officials say she could be anywhere in the Sioux Empire or in the state.

Details around Joslynn Mousseau's disappearance are limited at this time. The Sioux Falls Police Department explains Joslynn is about 6'2'' and weighs around 140 pounds. She's considered a runaway. Updated information about Joslynn can be found on the South Dakota Missing Persons website. Here's the latest:

Joslynn was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, ripped jeans and carrying a gray bag.

Joslynn also has piercings on her right nostril and ears, and her hair color may be dyed purple. Some reports indicate that Joslynn could still be in the area, or she's traveling to Rapid City.

Joslynn's family is worried about her well-being and safety. Joslynn 's aunt even made her own Facebook post about her "beloved niece." Here's the craziest part about her aunt's post: Joslynn herself appears to have commented with the message, "auntie i’m okay."

This Facebook comment certainly provides more questions than answers. And other reports say Joslynn has been making posts online.

Everyone in Joslynn's family and friends wants her home. Anyone with information should contact the Sioux Falls Police Department at (605) 367-7000.

Your family and friends won't stop looking for you, Joslynn!

13 Times Sioux Falls Made it into a 'Jeopardy!' Question

If the world was divided into Jeopardy! and Wheel of Fortune people, I would be down for Jeopardy! all the way. It's a lot more fun, it makes me feel smart because I can retain lots of trivia, and I am a horrible speller. So Wheel is out, no whammies.

Recently I discovered (I mean wasted a lot of time on) a website that is an archive of clues that have been on Jeopardy!.

While digging around the archive, I wanted to find out how often Sioux Falls came up in a question (Answer) on the show. Since 1990 Sioux Falls has been part of a question or an answer 13 times.

The 10 Most Redneck Towns in South Dakota

Are you a 'Redneck?' I guess to some people, all of us in South Dakota are rednecks.

If we use the Jeff Foxworthy Scale of Redneckeness, I have, in fact, been too drunk to fish. So by definition, I am a redneck. And so are many people I know.

Not that being from the country is a bad thing, and it can be fun to poke fun at ourselves.

With that in mind, we found that the folks at RoadSnacks put together a list that claims 'These Are The 10 Most Redneck Cities In South Dakota.'
What is a Redneck?

The dictionary says that a redneck is someone "...who lives in a small town or in the country, especially in the southern U.S., who typically has a working-class job, and who is seen by others as being uneducated and having opinions and attitudes that are offensive."

Well, a few things. First, South Dakota isn't THAT kind of 'south.' We're to the south of North Dakota, but to the north of 'The South.'

Plus that definition sounds awful mean and serious. I thought we were having fun here.

RoadSnacks leaned into the funny, Jeff Foxworthy-based version of a redneck. Then they rounded up select data on places in SD to determine their rankings. RoadSnacks Redneck Criteria:

  • Small towns
  • Least amount of high school graduates
  • Number of bars per city
  • Number of mobile home parks per capita
  • Number of tobacco stores per city
  • Number of places to get fishing gear
  • Number of guns and ammo stores per city
  • Walmarts, Bass Pro Shops, and dollar stores nearby
