Maren Morris joins forces with Niall Horan (formerly of One Direction) on an upcoming duet called "Seeing Blind." The pop singer revealed the news, and the track, during a recent industry event.

Horan appeared at Capitol Congress, an event hosted by Capitol Music Group to highlight the company's recent and future goings-on, on Wednesday (Aug. 9), to share some of his new music, including his collaboration with Morris. Late that night, Morris herself confirmed the news, as reported by Variety, by re-tweeting the magazine's coverage of the event; her tweet includes three emojis, all monkeys with their hands over their mouths.

According to Variety, during Capitol Congress, Horan explained that he reached out to Morris by email to ask if she'd like to join him for a duet on "Seeing Blind," and that she "happily accepted." The magazine reports that the song could be a cross-genre hit, as it features Horan's trademark bass and Morris on harmonies. On Twitter, in response to Morris' tweet about the song, fans completely freaked out about the news.

Morris is currently on the road with Sam Hunt, as part of Hunt's 15 in a 30 Tour, and enjoying the success of her recent hits, "I Could Use a Love Song" and "Craving You;" the latter is a duet with Thomas Rhett.
