Man Recovering from Fall Near Big Sioux River
SIOUX FALLS, S.D. (AP) — Police in Sioux Falls say a man is recovering from injuries after he fell more than 15 feet from a river bank.
Sgt. Aaron Nyberg says rescuers were called to the west bank of the Big Sioux River near North Phillips Avenue about 5:15 p.m. Friday after initial reports said that a man was pushed from a ledge.
Crews found the unconscious man on the rocks below the ledge and took him to a local hospital. Nyberg says the man regained consciousness and his injuries don't appear to be life-threatening.
Police are calling the incident a possible assault.
