Man Pleads Not Guilty to 3 Felony Explosives-Related Charges
DALLAS, S.D. (AP) — A South Dakota man indicted for allegedly having improvised explosives at his home has pleaded not guilty to three felony charges.
Sixty-year-old Martin Rezac of Dallas, South Dakota, is accused of having chemicals and recipes for explosives and also explosives including a pipe bomb at his home. Authorities allege he had made comments about blowing up Veterans Affairs hospitals.
Police responded to his home last Thanksgiving after an explosion that sent him to the hospital. He was arrested shortly before Christmas in Denver.
The Daily Republic reports that Rezac pleaded not guilty to possessing explosives and materials for explosives; and selling, transporting or possessing a destructive device.
