If you're talking rural South Dakota, hometown celebration fun, it doesn't get much better than Fish Days in Lake Andes. It's an event so big they need 3 days to cover it.

Lake Andes is an awesome little town in southeast South Dakota that's well known for fishing and other water recreation on the Missouri River. This weekend the towns population will swell with fishermen, and fun seekers. They will all get what they are looking for. Of course, they'll have a fishing tournament. That's a given. And this is the time of year the fish are biting!

Friday, June 2ND they'll have the Queen and Lil' Miss Fishy contest, Doubles Dart Tournament, Lawn Mower races and Karaoke.

Saturday, they start the day with a 5k fun run/walk, a parade at 11:00 AM, bean bag tournament, rides on the main street midway and will close the event out with a new feature a bull riding.

Kids Steer Riding (ages 8-14) during the McKay's Bull-A-Rama Saturday, June 3rd, 7:00 PM, South of the Vet Clinic. To pre-register contact Jason Laska 605-481-5713. Free to enter, Grand prize is a Montana Silver Belt Buckle. This event will have a Calcutta.
