The cast of Nashville is growing, despite the heavy loss of Rayna Jaymes (Connie Britton) earlier in Season 5. The hit CMT show is adding actress Katrina Norman to its cast, as a recurring character.

While Norman did not appear in Season 5's mid-season premiere episode, she has reportedly been booked for a recurring role throughout the season. According to Deadline, Norman will play Polly, "a stunning, authentic and confident road manager for a popular musician." There's no further details about Polly's involvement in the Nashville plot, but with a character description like that, it seems likely that she'll get romantically involved with ... someone.

Norman has appeared in numerous TV series, including The Vampire Diaries, Criminal Minds and VH1's Hit the Floor. Her film credits include No Strings Attached and 17 Again with Zac Efron, among others. Norman has been a professional dancer since the age of 14.

Following a mid-season break, Nashville's plot is picking back up 10 week after what happened in its mid-season finale. The mid-season premiere gave fans the conclusion of the cliffhanger involving Scarlett O'Conner's (Clare Bowen) unborn baby, though many other storylines have yet to be tied up. In addition to Norman, Rachel Bilson, Kaitlin Doubleday and Jeff Nordling have all joined the TV drama's cast for the second half of Season 5.
