Sioux Falls is known to be a welcoming, friendly community to all visitors. Unfortunately, one comedian who came to perform at a Sioux Falls bar did not receive a warm reception.

Comedian Mike Glazer made a stop at Lucky's in downtown Sioux Falls last weekend to bring jokes and fun to his South Dakota audience. But some drunken jerks decided it would be funny to heckle Mike Glazer during his show. FYI, it's not funny at all.

Community Outrage As Hecklers Harass Comic During Sioux Falls Comedy Set

During Mike Glazer's set inside Lucky's, he was in the middle of a joke when one audience member grabbed his attention. The unknown audience member then proceeded to shout inexcusable anti-semitic slurs at Mike Glazer.

This awful bar-goer had a friend who chimed in as well, expressing his personal views. How did Mike respond to this unwarranted incident? He kept the show going and never missed a beat. That's a professional.

I'm going to add another disclaimer: Mike Glazer posted a short Facebook video of the shocking encounter, and he's been very public about it. Because of the nature and context of the video, I don't feel comfortable posting the video in this article. But if you're curious to see what happened, you can view the full and unedited video from Mike Glazer here

There is no excuse for this type of behavior. Ever.

Members of the community were disgusted by this incident, including the Sioux Falls Comedy group. In an apologetic note on Facebook, the local Sioux Falls Comedy team sent a sincere message to Mike Glazer expressing their disappointment. They explained, "This is not typical behavior in our community."

In case you're wondering, the man who shouted anti-semitic slurs was quickly kicked out of Mike Glazer's show at Lucky's.

10 Things You Should Never Do in South Dakota

Go anywhere in the U.S. and you'll find traditions and customs that only exist in that part of the country. South Dakota is no different, and there are definitely some "do's and don'ts" when it comes to living here.

Be careful trying any of these things in the Mount Rushmore State.
