Powerball Ticket Sold In Iowa Matches 5 for Massive Payout
Mondays are usually tough for many of us, and today is no exception. However, one person woke up with half a million reasons to smile. The winner hasn't come forward and may not realize the value of their ticket. If you purchased a ticket for the drawing, check your numbers below.
The ticket hit on Saturday's "Double Play" drawing which I didn't even know existed - you can find more details about it below. Iowa Lottery officials say it was the only ticket in the country to win a $500,000 prize that night.
What Is Powerball's Double Play Drawing?
The Double Play feature was introduced in November for the Powerball game. By paying an additional $1 per play, you can opt for Double Play on your Powerball ticket. While a regular Powerball play costs $2, including Double Play increases the ticket price to $3.
With this option, the numbers on your ticket can win twice: once in the normal Powerball drawing and again in a separate Double Play drawing held on the same night.
It is possible to win prizes in both the regular Powerball drawing and the Double Play drawing on the same evening.
