Iowa State Fair Releases New Food List For 2024

Step aside, funnel cakes. There's new delightful, artery-clogging snacks in town.

One of the best parts of the fair is the food. It's random combinations and fried goodness that you just don't get in many other places or any other times of the year. We've seen it go well past the funnel cakes and corn dogs over the years. Now we have fried Oreos, fried Twinkies, cheesecake on a stick, the list goes on and on.

Now, Iowa State Fair has announced their list of new fair foods for 2024 and it is intriguing. It has like 80+ new menu items, but some of them are not too outlandish: one is Puppy Chow.

There will be a New Food Event on Iowa State Fair's Facebook page on July 16th at 1:00 p.m. A contest to pick the best New Fair Food for 2024 will also be going on.

Iowa State Fair is in Des Moines and will be August 8th-18th.
