Former Vikings Star Adrian Peterson Arrested After Draft Party
Minneapolis, MN (KROC-AM News) - Multiple media outlets in the Twin Cities are reporting today that former Minnesota Vikings star running back Adrian Peterson was arrested on suspicion of drunk driving early this morning.
KARE-TV reported that a State Trooper initiated a traffic stop around 3:20 AM after spotting a car driven by Peterson going 83 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone.

That led to his arrest on suspicion of fourth-degree DWI. The KARE-TV report says Peterson was processed at the Hennepin County Jail around 5:15 AM and was released from custody on $4000 bail around 7:30 AM.
A report posted by KMSP-TV indicates Peterson made an appearance last night at the Minnesota Vikings NFL draft party, which was held at US Bank Stadium.
The Oklahoma Sooners star player was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 2007 NFL draft and was named the NFL Offense of Rookie of the Year. Peterson later received the NFL MVP Award in 2013, but legal troubles later led his suspension by the NFL in 2014 and he departed the Vikings in 2017 when he accepted a free agent contract with New Orleans.
