St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Minnesota-based human trafficking sting has led to 11 people being arrested.

That’s according to a news release issued by the Minnesota BCA on Saturday. The sting was conducted last week in St. Paul

The news release says the BCA’s  Human Trafficking Investigators Task Force and the St. The Paul Police Department conducted the operation on July 27 and 28. Law enforcement posed as either minors or sex buyers online.

The suspects, who chatted with and agreed to meet with the undercover officers, were arrested once they arrived at the meeting location. The BCA says the sting led to four females being rescued from trafficking situations. 

10 of the individuals were booked into the Ramsey County Jail on suspicion of solicitation of a minor under 18 years of age for prostitution and one was booked into the Ramsey County Jail on probable cause felony promotion of prostitution.

One person was arrested on July 27 and the other 10 were apprehended on July 28.The names of the arrested individuals are:

The news release says the suspects are expected to be charged in the coming days. 

“We are committed to helping Minnesota’s trafficking victims escape the reprehensible actions of those who would buy or sell them for sex,” BCA Superintendent Drew Evans said in the news release. “Our predatory crimes agents will continue to work with our law enforcement partners and advocates to end this terrible crime in Minnesota.

The BCA is reminding Minnesotans who are or who know someone who is in immediate danger of being trafficked to call 911. Minnesotans can report a suspected trafficking situation by calling the BCA at 877-996-6222 or emailing bca.tips@state.mn.us.
