The practice has become so popular that it's the now centerpiece of more than a dozen TV shows and impacts the sales of more than 200,000 homes every year.
But in order to effectively flip a house you need to choose the the right market.
Almost every big city in America a flipper's paradise with high demand and strong buyer interest, but one South Dakota town is proving that size isn't everything in the flipping world.
Huron (population 14,618) is the 28th best market in America for flipping houses.
According to recent study by ViewHomes Team which analyzed various cities based on property prices, buyer demand, market activity, and inventory levels, South Dakota's eighth-largest city ranks highly in three key house flipping categories:
- Median listing price: $219,225 (10th lowest in Top 30)
- Median Listing Price per Square Foot: $109 (5th lowest in Top 30)
- Median days on market: 36 (6th best in Top 30)
