I-29 Lane Closures In Sioux Falls: What Drivers Should Know
Getting where you're going on the interstates around Sioux Falls is about to get a bit more challenging.
Impacted Area
Beginning Monday (July 21), work will begin on the Interstate 29 southbound structures over 12th Street and the Ellis and Eastern Railroad tracks.
Because of the work, the South Dakota Department of Transportation is closing the easternmost two lanes of southbound I-29, and traffic will be maintained in the westernmost two lanes.
Lengthy Closure
This traffic configuration is anticipated to be in place until August 29, when the traffic will be switched to the newly constructed east lanes. Work will then begin on the west two lanes at this location.
