When season 28 of the popular ABC reality series The Bachelor hits the air in January, local fans of the show already know who they'll be rooting for.

Among the 32 women vying for the affection of Joey Graziadei, is a Minnesota native.

She is 24-year-old Daisy Kent.

Daisy was raised in the city of Becker (population 4,877), which is on Highway 10 between Minneapolis and St. Cloud. She is a 2017 graduate of Becker High School, where she played volleyball and lacrosse and sang in the school choir. She later attended San Diego State where she majored in journalism and communications.

She still lives in Southern California.

In 2021, Daisy contracted Lyme Disease, which ultimately led her to lose hearing in one ear. She eventually had a cochlear implant to combat the problem and later began producing videos about her hearing loss and the implant, gaining her 40,000 followers on TikTok.

According to her official Bachelor bio:

Daisy is SO ready to find the one. She comes from a big, loving family, and her parents' 30-plus-year marriage has been the blueprint for the kind of love she wants for herself. Daisy has been through a lot in life and is ready for a man who will truly put her first. She's looking for a partner who is loyal, adventurous, and family-oriented, and will be there for her no matter what. The account executive's childhood was like a storybook growing up on a Christmas tree farm, and now Daisy is hoping to find her fairy-tale ending. Will Daisy and Joey have the love story of a lifetime? Only time will tell.

Fun Facts:
• Daisy enjoys singing in her car at the top of her lungs.
• No one loves ice cream more than Daisy. No one.
• Daisy dreams of becoming a bestselling author.

Choosing from the field of 32 women is Joey Graziadei, the runner-up from season 20 of The Bachelorette, which featured Charity Lawson.

Joey is a 28-year-old teaching tennis pro from Collegeville, Pennsylvania, who now lives in Hawaii.

Season 28 of The Bachelor premieres Monday, January 22 on ABC.

Daisy hopes to fare better than the most recent native of the North Star State to compete in The Bachelor franchise.

Earlier this month, Leslie Fhima, from Minneapolis, left The Golden Bachelor with a broken heart when Gerry Turner picked Theresa Nist, a 70-year-old widow from New Jersey, instead of her on the show's season finale.
