Burger Battle Review: La Luna Cafe’s ‘La Luna Steak Burger’
Every January, Sioux Falls is transformed into a burger lovers' paradise as a number of establishments pull out all of the stops for the Downtown Sioux Falls annual Burger Battle.
To say that the idea has caught on is an incredible understatement as a record number of restaurants are vying for the top burger crown in 2023.
Each of the 32 burgers is graded by the public in five different categories:

Our latest stop is La Luna Cafe for 'La Luna Steak Burger'.
Here is the official description of the burger:
Our steak burger has a juice-marinated ribeye cut. We use Breadsmith bread, pepper Jack cheese, bacon, tomatoes, pickled red onions, spring mix, and house sauce.
This was the most visually appealing burger we've tried so far with an abundance of fresh greens, bacon, and onions poking out from under the Breadsmith bun.
What sets this burger apart is the lack of a burger.
Instead, you'll find a slab of ribeye, which is a change of pace for those of you who might be a bit 'burgered out' at this point.
One of the highlights for me were the pickled onions. They provided a slight hint of sweetness.
