1.4 Million Pickups Recalled over Faulty Tailgate Latch
The risk of a tailgate opening while driving has led to the recall of more than one million pickup trucks in the United States.
USA Today is reporting that more than 1.4 million trucks, mainly Dodge Rams, are facing a recall from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
The impacted vehicles are 2019-2022 Ram 1500, 2500, and 3500 pickup trucks.

The recall has been issued because the tailgate may not latch properly due to misaligned strikers, meaning the tailgate can open while driving.
Affected owners should be notified of the recall by mail by January 27.
The report says dealers will perform an inspection of the alignment of the striker and will make any necessary adjustments free of charge.
To see if your truck is included in the recall, you can enter the vehicle identification number (VIN), or its year, make and model on the NHTSA database.
