Indivisible 605 and Remedy Brewing Want Your Underwear and Socks
Hey, there's still time to get involved in a very important clothing drive happening right now in the Sioux Empire.
Indivisible 605 and Remedy Brewing Company are teaming up for a clothing drive focused on something people in need often don’t have enough of: brand-new underwear and socks. Sure, traditional clothing drives usually bring in coats, mittens, and scarves by the armload, and those are always appreciated. But essentials like fresh undergarments? Those tend to be in much shorter supply, even though they’re among the most requested items at shelters.
As warm as it's been lately here in Sioux Falls, a clothing drive might not seem all that necessary, but let’s be honest with each other, this stretch of mild weather might feel like spring is peeking around the corner, but we all know Old Man Winter is just taking a coffee break before returning with a vengeance. Which makes this particular drive especially important.

The collection kicked off February 11 and runs through February 22. Donating is simple: drop off new socks or underwear in the collection bin located in the back of Remedy Brewing Company at 401 East 8th Street. Everything gathered will go directly to the St. Francis House Homeless Shelter, helping out friends and neighbors in the Sioux Empire who truly need it.
Organizers told Dakota News Now they’d love to empty that bin at least three more times before the drive wraps up, a goal that’s totally doable if Sioux Falls shows up to support the cause.

There’s even a fun finale planned. Remedy is hosting a Brunch Fest on Sunday, February 22, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. Guests are encouraged to show up wearing a onesie and bring an underwear and sock donation to the festivities. Good food, cozy outfits, and a chance to give back to the community. That's what it's all about!
So, grab a pack of socks and underwear and toss them in the bin at Remedy Brewing before February 22. Consider it a small act with a big impact.
