Sioux Falls Great Bear Ski Valley Closes Unexpectedly
It's been a mild winter in Sioux Falls and most of South Dakota. Unfortunately, that hasn't been good for Great Bear Ski Valley.
General Manager Dan Grider at Great Bear Ski Valley sent out the word Thursday morning that GREAT BEAR IS TEMPORARILY CLOSED.
The statement read...”Due to the unseasonably warm weather, Great Bear Ski Valley is temporarily closed for skiing, snowboarding, and tubing.
With lower temps in the forecast later next week, Great Bear hopes to begin making more snow overnight and reopen as soon as Mother Nature allows!
Our goal is to get this place back open again, and we’re not going to take our foot off the gas pedal.
The ski season isn’t over yet! We are committed to our season pass-holders, and are evaluating all of our options in how we can best serve our guests.”
