Discover the Adventure at Prairie Fest This Weekend
If you are craving an outdoor adventure where you can have all kinds of fun, eat great food, and maybe actually learn something, you need to head out to Good Earth State Park this weekend.
They're having an event called Prairie Fest - A Family Celebration of Dakota Grasslands. But there will be a whole lot more going on than just finding out more about South Dakota's natural world.

If you're an early riser, there is a whole schedule of events you can register for that will be taking place between 7 and 9 AM. The Sioux Falls Bird Club will keep you busy birding at 7 AM, and South Dakota Game, Fish, & Parks will have you Mist Netting & Bird Banding as well as taking the Prairie Reborn Tour beginning at 8 AM.
At 9:45 AM, Joe Dickie will "Tell the Story Between the Fences," and SDSU will host a presentation on "Native Plants in Landscaping" at 10:25 AM.
Live Music & Delicious Food: A Feast for the Senses
At 11:15, the live music begins with Maygen & The Birdwatcher, plus you'll want to grab some lunch from one of the great food trucks. The Good Stuff Brewing Joy will have coffee drinks for you, Birria Bros' excellent tacos, or Fat Kid Philly's Sandwiches and Fries would make a delicious lunch, and Petey's Sweets Donuts & Ice Cream will add to the sweetness of the day!

Jason "The Birdnerd" St. Sauver will do a presentation called "Are Grasslands Birds in Jeopardy?" at 1 PM, and finally, the South Dakota Grassland Coalition will have all kinds of resource materials to check out.
