Books, Coffee and Authors? Sign Me Up!
Discover the Joy of Reading
Let's be honest, if you haven't picked up a book in the last 20 years or so, this event probably isn't for you. On the other hand, if you love nothing more than settling down with a good book and a delicious cup of coffee, or you have kids or grandkids who have a real love of reading, you definitely want to be at the Novel Lattes Third Annual Clean Book Festival.
Something else for you to consider: if you've ever wanted to write and publish a book, but don't know all the ins and outs of the process, you really should come to this festival.

Join Us at the Novel Lattes Festival
It is coming up on Friday, October 16, and Saturday, October 17, at the Denny Sanford Premier Center. Novel Lattes is the largest clean book festival in the country, and it brings in not only South Dakota authors but authors from around the country.
Friday, October 16, is dedicated to writing workshops from 10 AM to 4 PM (with a lunch break at noon), and the author meet-and-greet is from 6:30 to 8 PM in the evening. You are encouraged to dress up like your favorite character, or like something from the genre you enjoy. There will be a photo booth area and light refreshments too. Tickets are available online.
Book Fair day is Saturday, October 17, from 9 AM to 3 PM. The Novel Lattes Book Fair is free and open to the public. You can find great books for your entire family and meet some of your favorite authors.
Fun Activities and Special Offers
Make sure you download the coloring page to enter the coloring contest during the fair.
There will be a coffee truck, a concession stand, and vendors with all kinds of book-and-coffee-related merchandise.

The first 25 people who come in will receive a free swag bag with goodies, coupons, and more.
Support a Worthy Cause at the Silent Auction
One other great thing going on during the book fair is the Silent Auction, and 50% of the proceeds will benefit Call to Freedom. Call to Freedom was established in 2016 and is a trauma-informed non-profit organization headquartered in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, that provides comprehensive, ongoing, and coordinated support services for victims of human trafficking and sexual exploitation throughout the Midwest region.
So whether you're an avid reader, a parent looking for some great new books for the kids, or someone who's always dreamed of seeing your own name on the cover of a book, Novel Lattes has plenty to offer. Grab a friend, grab a cup of coffee, and get ready to celebrate the wonderful world of books - and while you're there, you can even help support a very worthwhile cause.
