Get Ready For The ‘Space Explorers Mission Infinity’ Debut
It's the newest thing at the Washington Pavilion, and it's something you don't want to miss, especially if you and your kids are fans of all things space-related.
The new "Space Explorers Mission Infinity" exhibit at the Kirby Science Discovery Center has been in the works for the last two years, and Dakota News Now reports that it opens this weekend (Saturday, November 15) at the Washington Pavilion.
The renovated first floor of the Kirby Science Discovery Center has been changed into a high-tech, mesmerizing trip through the solar system. There are five distinct segments of this new display as you wind your way through this trip into space.

The first segment is designed to make you feel like you're walking in space. The second one focuses on building and launching rockets, while the third is all about exploring the Earth. It also has a cool display comparing the size of planets using basketballs.
The fourth area has all kinds of information about what it is like to live and even farm on Mars. Finally, visitors get a glimpse into the future of space exploration with images from the powerful James Webb telescope. Kids can also create a virtual look at themselves as aliens in this part of the exhibit.
From the moments when young explorers pressed the launch button to simulate a rocket liftoff, to discovering what it takes to live on another planet, this immersive experience speaks to both the dreamers and the doers in us. It invites families, students, and lifelong learners to imagine the challenges—and the triumphs—of reaching beyond our world.
