If you've been to the Great Plains Zoo, you know what a gem it is in our community. If you haven't visited yet, there is an event coming up that would be a perfect introduction to everything wonderful it has to offer, plus added fun activities.
The Great Plains Zoo will be holding its Summer Celebration on Saturday, May 23, from 9 AM to 5 PM. This will be a perfect opportunity to discover all the great things the zoo has to offer for adults, kids, and families.

The zoo's Summer Celebration will offer its incredibly popular zookeeper chats. You never know what animals you'll get to meet up close and personal during these chats, but you always learn something fascinating.
They will also have the train and carousel rides going, along with a lot of other activities like face painting, hula lessons, lawn games, and more!
Meet Animals from Around the Globe
The Great Plains Zoo offers 45 acres of wonder and enjoyment, offering to let you meet animals from 7 continents. That includes flamingos, black and brown bears, lions, giraffes, zebras, squirrel monkeys, lemurs, tigers, Snow leopards, armadillos, exotic birds, and of course, the farm animals too.
While you're exploring, you might get the munchies, and that is no problem. The zoo offers everything from coffee on the go to delicious full meals at the Espresso Bar and the Roar Cafe. You can even find snacks in the awesome Gift Shop or Train Depot.
