That's right, 11-year-old Paisley Gardner from Des Moines, Iowa isn't a "Swiftie" or a "Belieber". It's not the Jonas Brothers she swoons over. No, Paisley's choice of musical idol according to a recent CBS News report, is none other than Michael McDonald, who is currently on tour with The Doobie Brothers.

The soulful, expressive, sounds of the American singer-songwriter and keyboard player caught Paisley's ear on the radio and she was hooked. Finding out that Michael was a rather "senior" vocalist was a bit of a shock but didn't dampen her love of his "angelic" singing and his music.

Her dad bought tickets to see the Doobies when they were in Des Moines and Paisley actually had a brief verbal exchange with Michael. She screamed at him that she loved him and he responded with "thank you"!

CBS News found out about Paisley's passion and set up a Zoom meeting for her with reporter Steve Hartman and McDonald. When Michael came on the screen and greeted her with "Hello, darlin!", Paisley fell apart.

She quickly recovered her composure and they had a good conversation. McDonald even invited her to come back to one of their shows and watch it from backstage. No date has been revealed yet, but at last report, Paisley was still walking on air!

What's that saying? "It's not the years in your life, but the life in your years!"
