
Iconic Local Minnesota Diner Returns After Long Hiatus
Some Minnesotans are super surprised and happy to see a beloved establishment return after an over four-year hiatus.
A downtown staple known as Mickey’s Diner in St. Paul, Minnesota has re-opened after shutting down operations due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

A recent story from MPR News confirms that Mickey’s Diner had a soft opening late last week. There will be an official grand opening at a later date. Before the pandemic, this beloved Minnesota diner was open 24-hours a day. Minnesotans could get pancakes or waffles whenever they wanted!
The manager of Mickey’s Diner Sam Hashish tells MPR News they are happy and relieved to be back. Sam is especially thrilled to see the grills and fryers are still up and working after being closed for an extended period of time.
Mickey’s Diner has also been featured on national television screens across the country in the Mighty Ducks series and in the movie Jingle All The Way with actors Arnold Schwarzenegger and Rita Wilson.
