There's a saying that "A great song doesn't have an expiration date'. That would certainly be true for a great song called "I Wish I Was Eighteen Again."

Sonny Throckmorton wrote this great classic (along with so many others, he's one of country music's great songwriters and in the Songwriters Hall of Fame). And for many of us, it first hit our ears (and hearts) in 1979 when "The Killer" Jerry Lee Lewis released it.

Then, just one year later in 1980, we had perhaps the most unlikely country music hitmaker in history, as the entertainment legend George Burns had a country hit with it again.

Now, more than 30 years later, it's back. A new version of the classic has been released by Ray Price, a song he recorded not long before his death in December 2013.

A great song is a great song, no matter the year.
