When it comes to burgers, nobody does it better than the Land of Ten Thousand Lakes. Heck, the Juicy Lucy is a Minnesota specialty for a reason.

There have been a number of lists that try to pinpoint where to find the best burger in all of Minnesota. Very recently, Life in Minnesota rated Hazelwood Food and Drink as the best spot to grab a burger statewide.

However, one overlooked, hole-in-the-wall restaurant, next to a pristine Minnesota lake just might have the best hamburger in the entire state.

Located in beautiful Pelican Rapids, Minnesota is the Maple Beach Resort and Grill. It's touted as one of the best hole-in-the-wall hamburger stands statewide and many travelers have hailed it as the very best spot in all of Minnesota for a burger.

Plus, it has a pretty nice view of Pelican Lake, just across the street.

The only downside is all orders are takeout only. However, on a nice day, you can set up shop in the picnic table area.

Don't just take our word for it though. Here's what one reviewer on Trip Advisor had to say about this special little hamburger shop:

We first ate here probably 20 years ago. It was a resort also then so we stayed there too. Great food and have the biggest order of fries anywhere. They are a busy little place so you wait a bit but it is so worth it. Hope they are able to stay in business for a long time to come. Definitely, a unique and special place to visit.
