Located in beautiful Pelican Rapids, Minnesota is the Maple Beach Resort and Grill. It's touted as one of the best hole-in-the-wall hamburger stands statewide and many travelers have hailed it as the very best spot in all of Minnesota for a burger.

Plus, it has a pretty nice view of Pelican Lake, just across the street.

The only downside is all orders are takeout only. However, on a nice day, you can set up shop in the picnic table area.

We first ate here probably 20 years ago. It was a resort also then so we stayed there too. Great food and have the biggest order of fries anywhere. They are a busy little place so you wait a bit but it is so worth it. Hope they are able to stay in business for a long time to come. Definitely, a unique and special place to visit.
