Heartless Thief Steals Painting at Beloved Sioux Falls Restaurant
There's nothing more frustrating than criminals destroying a community's sense of safety and peace. One selfish burglar decided to ruin the New Year's Eve holiday by stealing from a local Sioux Falls restaurant.
Owners of Parker's Bistro and Myrtle’s Fur Vault & Bar in Sioux Falls announced a piece of artwork was stolen from one of the establishments on the night of December 31st during the New Year celebrations.
In a sympathetic Facebook post from Parker's Bistro and Myrtle’s Fur Vault & Bar, officials explain to loyal customers that they are "saddened" by this "unfortunate incident." Their only hope and wish is for this person to return this artwork to the restaurant. The individual who bought the art piece for Parker's Bistro and Myrtle’s Fur Vault & Bar wanted to share the "joy" with anyone who visited.
We understand that, at times, moments can lead to actions that don’t reflect one’s character, and we approach this situation with understanding and support. We do however, have video surveillance and before turning it over to Law Enforcement, want to give the individual a chance to do the right thing. As a family-owned and operated business proudly serving the downtown community for 15+ years, we take great pride in our establishments. We believe we can and must do better moving forward.
It's amazing to see the courage and resilience of Parker's Bistro and Myrtle’s Fur Vault & Bar even during times of trouble. They're allowing the thief to return the art piece before law enforcement gets involved.
If anyone has information regarding the whereabouts of the artwork, please contact the owners of Parker's Bistro and Myrtle’s Fur Vault & Bar. Do the right thing.
