You are invited to travel over 400 years back in time this weekend...and no time machine is needed.  The Siouxland Renaissance Festival invites everyone to experience what it would be like to travel back to the time of Queen Elizabeth I.  This Saturday and Sunday, June 7th and 8th, experience the 13th Annual Siouxland Renaissance Festival on the W. H. Lyon Fairgrounds in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.

Play in the past with the lords, ladies, peasants and entertainers of Shrewsbury County, England.  Visitors to the Siouxland Renaissance Festival will experience different vendors and four different stages of entertainment to choose from that will include jugglers and tumblers, musicians and jousters.  Even the youngest visitors to the Festival will be able to watch puppets, fools, jugglers and play on their own stage.

The Siouxland Renaissance Association is also teaming up with the Eastern South Dakota Scottish Athletes to host the Scottish Heavy Games.  People are encouraged form their own clan, bring their clan attire and compete.  A clan isn't needed to compete in the Scottish Heavy Games, however.  Individuals that want to prove their strength can bring their Scottish attire, but they must register to participate.

Hours of the Siouxland Renaissance Festival are 10am to 7pm on Saturday, June 7th and 10am to 6pm on Sunday, June 8th.  Tickets can be purchased at the gate and are $10 for adults, seniors and children (ages 4-12) are $5, children under age 3 are free and you can go to their website to download a coupon.

The Siouxland Renaissance Festival is on rain or shine!
