The month of May will be for planting. Farmers planting in the fields. You, planting in your backyard. And the kids planting at school.

On May 5, 2017 the kids at Hayward Elementary will be adding to their Ground Works-Midwest project by building seven more beds just in time for spring planting.

This teaching garden is an ongoing Ground Works-Midwest project that guides curriculum in our schools with hands-on learning.

Ground Works-Midwest has a goal of building 20 teaching gardens by 2020.

Come volunteer and help the Hayward Elementary kids build their garden beds so they can become better stewards of the outdoors and make healthy choices.

Or, join us for the May 12, 2017 build for the Boys & Girls Club of the Sioux Empire.
