On Thursday, December 9, the Sioux Falls Convention Center will be turned into a winter wonderland.

The event “Grouchmas”, will benefit the One Sioux Falls Fund and ten local charities. Tickets for the event will be $50 and goes on sale to the public Friday, September 17 at 10 am.

General Manager Mike Krewson said. “The Sioux Falls Convention Center and ASM Global are excited to partner with Sioux Falls Community Foundation and One Sioux Falls on Grouchmas. This unique charitable event will assist 10 local charities. The event takes place December 9 and support has been very strong as of now but more support is always welcome”.

During the event, attendees will visit Fallsville, a holiday village sponsored by local businesses. Each house in Fallsville will be adorned with an oversized stocking sponsored by a local business and filled with items by that business for the charity selected.

During the live auction, attendees will have the opportunity to bid on stockings with the proceeds donated to One Sioux Falls and the contents from the stocking donated to the selected charity.

The atmosphere will be fun and lively with games, live music, and interactive activities for the attendees. The event is an opportunity for individuals to connect, give back to their community, and enjoy a fun evening with guests over 21.

The festivities continue Friday, December 10, with the Fallsville community opens its doors to the daycare centers, schools, churches, and pre-schools. Children will come and enjoy a fun morning, making holiday ornaments, treats, storytime, and a holiday greeting from a special guest. To register for community day, call 605.367.7288
