Got Ya! Sioux Falls Police Catch Speedy Driver Going Over 100 MPH
There are some drivers who tend to test the speed limits on the South Dakota roads, including streets in Sioux Falls. One South Dakota driver in Sioux Falls late last week really pushed a police officer from the City of Sioux Falls Police Department to its breaking point.
A traffic officer with the City of Sioux Falls Police Department caught a speedy driver going over 100 miles per hour in a 50 zone. Woah! Someone must have been in a hurry.

The City of Sioux Falls Police Department shared a photo on its Facebook and Twitter pages of the speed the Sioux Falls driver was going and how much this ticket for this offense was worth. Shockingly, this driver was going 106 miles per hour. Now that's burning some rubber!
So how much is this traffic violation worth? This unlucky South Dakota driver has to pay an over $500 ticket! Was speeding in Sioux Falls really worth it?
The social media post on Twitter from the City of Sioux Falls Police Department breaks down the expenses of the $515 ticket:
- If a driver is caught speeding 26 miles per hour or over in Sioux Falls, the fine is over $232.50.
- If a driver is caught Drag Racing on a highway, the fine is worth $282.50.
There is absolutely no reason why a driver should be driving this fast on the roads.
This explanation alone gives any Sioux Falls driver a fantastic reason to slow down and follow the rules of the road!
