There are many things in country music that are debatable.

Who is the greatest artist ever? (Last summer you decided that was George Jones in our "Greatest Legends Showdown").

Who's the greatest duo? Group? What's the greatest love song? Cheating song? Drinking song? No doubt there's been plenty of debate's (or arguments!) about those things.

But one thing is not debatable. Who's had the most number one hits? That would be the man we call "King George", George Strait.

Since his first Top Ten hit in 1981, to his first number one hit in 1982 and every year since, there has rarely been a week that George Strait didn't have a song somewhere on the country music chart. The most memorable songs of the past three decades plus have been by George Strait. We've sung along with them all.

But which is the best?

That's what you'll decided right here beginning Monday February 9th. The "George Strait Best Song Showdown" will pit two Strait greats against each other every day, Monday through Friday. You vote daily for which song you think is better and that song moves on. Ultimately, you'll decide which King George song is the best of all.

You decided George Jones was the greatest country music legend. You decided "He Stopped Loving Her Today" was the greatest country song ever. Great choices.

Now, get ready to decide which George Strait song is the best ever.  Let the Showdown begin Monday.
