The Boston Marathon is underway and 40 people from South Dakota are participating in the 2017 edition.

14 different South Dakota cities are being represented with Sioux Falls putting in 18 participants to lead the way. The oldest participant is 68 years old (Dan Bjerke, Rapid City),  and the youngest is 25 (Taylor Cummings, Spearfish and Megan Hilson, Vermillion).
