Frank Sinatra is more than a legend. He's an American music and entertainment legend. One thing he is not is a country music legend. But that doesn't mean 'ol Blue Eyes couldn't put his unique sound on a country music song.

'Nobody Wins' was written by my all time favorite songwriter's, Kris Kristofferson. Kris is a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame of course, and is a legend in his own right (write!) for having penned such classic's as 'Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down', 'For The Good Times', 'Me and Bobby McGee', 'Help Me Make It Through The Night', 'Why Me, Lord' and others.

In 1973 another Hall of Famer, Brenda Lee, had a hit with Kris's 'Nobody Wins'. (And by the way, Teea Goans has a great version of the song as well for recent years. A great song doesn't have an expiration date!).

And none other than Frank Sinatra recognized the great Kristofferson song as well, and included it on his 1973 album 'Ol Blue Eyes Is Back'.

And you know what? I've grown to appreciate the talent of Frank Sinatra as I've, ah, grown older and I like this version as well.
