Sioux Falls area Easter Egg Hunts are in full swing this holiday season! The Easter Bunny has been busy hiding eggs throughout the Sioux Empire. There are even special golden eggs hidden throughout this small South Dakota town.

The residents in Viborg, South Dakota have been great helpers for the Easter Bunny. Some "bunny helpers" have been busy planning the exciting "Easter Eggstravaganza" and hiding golden eggs.

The Easter Eggstravaganza in Viborg is happening this Saturday, March 30th at the Viborg Community Center. There will be plenty of activities for the kids to enjoy, like an Easter Egg Hunt where they can find golden eggs!

The Easter Bunny has been hopping around the Viborg community leaving unique golden eggs for people to find. These distinctive Easter Eggs are hiding on Main Street in local businesses and offices in Viborg.

So what happens after you find these beautiful golden Easter Eggs? The officials with the Easter Eggstravaganza say these golden egg winners get a special prize during the event!

Here's an official list of activities during the Viborg Easter Eggstravaganza:

  • FREE WILL BRUNCH: 9 AM to 11 AM
    Danish Pancakes, Sausage & Eggs. Fundraiser for Viborg community activities.
  • EASTER EGG HUNT: 10 AM
    For kids 10 and under only. At ballfields next to the Community Center or in the Center if inclement weather. Sponsored by the Viborg Development Corporation
  • EASTER BUNNY VISIT: 10 AM to 11 AM
    • Petting zoo, coloring, and crafts. Golden eggs will be hidden at local businesses the week before the event. Bring your golden egg to the event to claim your prize.

Seven Mind-Blowing Wonders' of South Dakota

I think most of us have at least heard of the "Seven Wonders of the Modern World." We might not be able to rattle them off as easily as McDonald's value menu items, but chances are you've heard of at least some of them, right?

There's the Great Wall of ChinaChichén Itzá, a Mayan City on the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico. The ancient city of Petra, in Jordan. Machu Picchu in Peru. Christ the Redeemer Statue in Rio de Janeiro. The Colosseum in Rome, and finally, the Taj Mahal in Agra, India.

Every state in the nation is known for having a series of natural wonders and signature landmarks. So, I thought I would come up with my own list of the "Seven Wonders of South Dakota."

The following is what I consider to be the signature landmarks, monuments, and natural wonders that are synonymous with the great state of South Dakota. I tried to give both sides of the state a little love while comprising this list.
