I have no sense of fashion, or style. There, I said it. No, I'm not being self-deprecating, just honest. And, I'm about to prove it. I don't read fashion magazines, follow fashion blogs or own a single designer clothing or accessory item. Yes, I am hopelessly unfashionable and here is the evidence.

I never wore a fanny pack on my fanny. Anyone with a sizable derriere would or should have had second thoughts about doing this. I would always wear it hovering over my left hip, so I could unzip it with my right hand.

However, I honestly didn't know, they had ever gone out of style. And didn't. I continued to wear one on many vacation trips over the years. It was handy, it carried just enough stuff, so I wouldn't have to carry a purse, it just worked.

Another fashion faux pas I apparently have been guilty of for years, is the wearing of scrunchies in my hair. I never got the memo on this and so, how is a person supposed to know?

I like scrunchies! They come in a rainbow of colors, so you can match them to just about anything you're wearing and if you have long hair what else are you supposed to use. Rubber bands? I think not.

I came across a video from Megyn Kelly Today (part of the Today Show family) and found out that fanny packs, scrunchies, cat-eyed sunglasses and newsboy caps are hot once more, thanks to celebs who have taken to wearing them again. Oh thank goodness! If it weren't for them I'd be totally gauche!

Sometime during my college years, I stopped caring about what might be in-style or out-of-style. I tend to stick with what is comfortable, what fits and what works for me. Period. End of sentence.

If you have any doubts or worries about your fashion sense, take a peek at the video below. Hopefully it will make you laugh at the pretentiousness displayed therein, like it did for me. Or not.
