Empire Mall Hires New General Manager

The Empire Mall in Sioux Falls has hired a South Dakota native to be its new General Manager. Dan Gies, formally of Duluth Trading Company, has accepted the job.

“I am so excited to join the team at one of the top-performing malls in the nation,” said Gies. “I look forward to deepening my connection to the Sioux Falls community and positioning the Empire Mall for continued success in the years and decades ahead.”

Before signing on with the mall, Gies served as an area manager for Duluth Trading Company. Before that he was with Shopko, Citibank and Saks Inc. He graduated South Dakota State University with a degree in Commercial Economics.
