Downtown Sioux Falls Needs Volunteers for Riverfest ASAP

The annual summer festival is back in downtown Sioux Falls! The 10th Annual Downtown Riverfest this year in Sioux Falls is set to be one of the biggest celebrations of the year. Since this will be a huge party, there is a strong need for volunteers for Downtown Riverfest.

This year's Downtown Riverfest is on Saturday, August 19th. Our news partners at Dakota News Now are reporting that Downtown Sioux Falls Inc. is looking for more volunteers to have a smooth and organized event. There are different tasks and shifts to sign-up for.

DTSF Marketing Director Tenley Schwartz tells Dakota News Now they need volunteers for setting up the event, working the beer tents, and a teardown crew. Tenley explains this is a great opportunity to get involved in the community, especially for any new Sioux Falls residents.

”Volunteering is just a really fun experience. We had someone at our last block party who came and did a similar job and they invited friends back the next time because they said ‘This is so much fun, you’re going to love it. It’s meeting new people, it’s bringing friends along to do it with you, and you get to hear some great music as you connect with people. It really feels like you get to host the event.”
