The fastest growing town in the 'Land of Ten Thousand Lakes', by a considerable amount, is the Twin Cities Metro suburb of Dayton.

According to World Population Review, Dayton is towering above all competition.

Dayton has seen its population surge in recent years. In the 2000 census, the small town had a population of 4,700 people, just ten years later, that number actually dropped a tad to around 4,600 people, but by the year 2020, it had grown to 7,262.

In the five years since the past census, the population has surged in the small town. These days, the town of Dayton is estimated to have around 12,000 people living within its borders.

Other towns making the top ten include Lexington, Newport, Corcoran, Carver, Lake Elmo, Pine City, Otsego, St. Michael, and Hanover.
