I always enjoyed watching David Letterman's show before he retired. To me, he was one of the all time greats on TV.

He was proud of his racing team, bringing it up once in a while during his show. I always appreciated when he would bring it up because I'm a big fan of racing.

I thought it was cool that a TV show host was into the sport of racing. I felt the same about actors Steve McQueen and Paul Newman, who both actually drove race cars.

On Sunday (6/4), driver Graham Rahal swept a doubleheader in the Detroit Grand Prix. In doing so, he is IndyCar's first two time winner this year. Also the first to win two IndyCar races in a weekend in four years.

The racing team is co-owned by 1986 Indianapolis 500 winner Bobby Rahal, businessman Mike Lanigan, and Letterman himself, and is based in Hilliard, Ohio. The team won the 2004 Indianapolis 500 with driver Buddy Rice.
