Country Artists Going Pop

Country artists going pop isn't exactly new and a lot of country music crosses over. Reversely, pop artists sometimes try their hand at country music. But lately, I've noticed a lot of country crossover action. Whether it be with branching out with a new sound or pairing up with someone a bit unlikely.
For example, Zedd, Grey and Maren Morris have a huge hit right now with "Middle." Zedd and Grey have had a few hits in the EDM and pop world and Maren made some big waves in country music with "My Church." They may seem like they shouldn't all fit together, but they do!
Next up, Zac Brown from Zac Brown Band has a new project called Sir Rosevelt. He is one of three guys that make up this new country, funk, dance trio. The other members are Niko Moon and Ben Simonetti. I heard their song, "Sunday Finest" and it was infectious. I dare you to not get it stuck in your head. I liked some of Zac Brown Band's stuff before, but this is definitely not "Chicken Fried."
Third, is "Champion" by Carrie Underwood and Ludacris. I remember hearing this song way back around the Super Bowl, but when the official video was released I loved it even more. Carrie is no stranger to crossover success, her song "Before He Cheats" had success on the country and pop charts. And we have seen rappers and country artists hook up before. Remember Tim McGraw and Nelly "Over and Over"? Well, of course Carrie can sing anything and Luda's rap on this is amazing! I love it so much! And whoever edited this video should get all the awards because it gives me goosebumps. This song just makes me want to be a better person!
I thought about adding Florida Georgia Line to this story, but they basically live in the blurred lines between country and pop. It's just what they do.
