We can add Augustana University to the ever-growing list of schools and businesses that are taking steps to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus to the public.

Dakota News Now is reporting that Augustana University has elected to extend its spring break as coronavirus concerns continue to grow.

University officials have informed Dakota News Now of their plan to extend spring break in the school by another week. Classes have been canceled until at least (March 20).

As of now, the plan is to have all classes resume at the Sioux Falls university on Monday (March 23). Classes were originally scheduled to begin again on Monday (March 16).

Dakota News Now reports Augi staff will continue their normal business operations and undertake other preparations throughout the extended break period.
