Okay, I admit it.

For me a real good weekend afternoon is sitting on a lawn chair on a hot summer day (In the shade, my 'ol bald head isn't made for the sunshine), sipping an ice cold brew and crankin' me up some Hag, Waylon, Willie, Paycheck or the latest from Jamey Johnson.

Now I'm adding Cody Jinks to that list.

While some folks may call it 'Outlaw Country' (and yep, I'm an old enough dog to have loved the Country Outlaw Movement in the 1970's), I guess anymore I just call it plain good 'ol real country music.

I'm came across Cody Jinks single 'I'm Not The Devil' recently. In fact, in my job, I come across a lot of new 'country' music, by artist's I know and artist's I don't. Most of it is, well, how can I put this: Not my country cup of tea. But every once in a while....

'I'm Not The Devil' sounds great and fit's in perfectly with those above mentioned legend's, not to mention the Possum, Travis, Loretta, Patsy and the Hank's we love.

Whether you're old enough that it beckons you back to the names I've mentioned, or your young enough to think 'Wow! This guy is new, fresh and has it!'...either way 'I'm Not The Devil' by Cody Jinks is one fine real country song. According to Cody's website, the album is slated to go on sale in August.

Give the single a listen and let me know what you think.
