One of our core artists in country music history, is the great Charley Pride. He paved the way and inspired millions of people.

Over my career, I have introduced many artists on stage. But none can compare to my experience with Charley.

It was at the South Dakota State Fair many years ago. Charley was 45 minutes into his performance, and he stopped to personally thank me in front of the audience for the earlier introduction.

I was overwhelmed by the crowd's response to his show. I mean, he had young kids dancing and screaming to his song "Kiss An Angel Good Morning", that weren't even born yet when that hit was new.

Pride has been blazing the trails this year. And he continues with an appearance on ABC's "The View" October 12. See TV schedule. This is according to information sent to me from Molli Carter at Webster Public Relations in Nashville.

Pride's appearance on the "The View" will follow a whirlwind of television and media appearances for the Country Music Hall of Fame member, who recently released his first album in six years, Music In My Heart.

Pride received the Lifetime Achievement Award earlier this year from the Recording Academy. The honor comes after his recent celebration of his 50th year in country music.

The three-time Grammy winning artist was recently featured on CBS Evening News, Access Hollywood, SiriusXM, CNBC, Fox News and many more to celebrate his new album.

Pride is a true living legend, he has sold tens of millions of records worldwide with his large collection of hits.
