Where Can I Find Zebra Donuts Around The Sioux Empire?

Formerly known as Royal Bake Shop, current owners and operators Bryan and Brooke Hille of Zebra King Donut have new partnerships to sell the trademark donut inside The Stable in Lennox, Cream and Sugar in Beresford, and Laura’s Lattes in Canton.

Although the beloved Zebra donuts are now more accessible, this is bittersweet news for Bryan and Brooke. In a heartfelt note on Facebook, it has not been easy owning a business. The Hilles recognize there has been less traffic at the Zebra King Donut shop and in Centerville, South Dakota, overall. No business means a loss of time, money, and donuts.

Every day we open the store and leave all of our products in the case we lose money. We are constantly disposing of donuts (this includes Zebras) that take both many hours and costly ingredients to make. In addition, we have always sold our donuts for less than the typical cost of even an average donut. Though we have been told on numerous occasions that we are selling our donuts too cheap, we have always tried to accommodate local pricing pressures. This despite the fact that over the years many customers from other areas have told us they wish we were local to them and we are selling our donuts far too cheap.

People still love donuts across the Sioux Empire, especially Zebra Donuts. However, Bryan and Brooke needed to find ways to make all the donuts "more accessible." These new partnerships with local bakeries around Sioux Falls will form new relationships and keep the Zebra King Donut shop running.

Zebra King Donuts is very proud and happy to announce partnerships to sell our donuts with The Stable in Lennox, Cream and Sugar in Beresford and Laura’s Lattes in Canton. We are also currently seeking to partner with a Vermillion distributor so that Centerville donuts will also be enjoyed by customers in this nearby expanding community.

Is The Zebra King Donut Shop Leaving Centerville, South Dakota?

To all the Zebra Donut fans, the Zebra King Donut shop is not leaving Centerville. They are just looking for ways to improve sales and expand the Zebra Donut love. Centerville wouldn't be the town it is without this tasty treat.

Are you a 'Redneck?' I guess to some people, all of us in South Dakota are rednecks.

If we use the Jeff Foxworthy Scale of Redneckeness, I have, in fact, been too drunk to fish. So by definition, I am a redneck. And so are many people I know.

Not that being from the country is a bad thing, and it can be fun to poke fun at ourselves.

With that in mind, we found that the folks at RoadSnacks put together a list that claims 'These Are The 10 Most Redneck Cities In South Dakota.'

What is a Redneck?

The dictionary says that a redneck is someone "...who lives in a small town or in the country, especially in the southern U.S., who typically has a working-class job, and who is seen by others as being uneducated and having opinions and attitudes that are offensive."

Well, a few things. First, South Dakota isn't THAT kind of 'south.' We're to the south of North Dakota, but to the north of 'The South.'

Plus that definition sounds awful mean and serious. I thought we were having fun here.
