In the interest of total honesty: Anything that Willie Nelson releases is a favorite of mine. Like millions of people around the world, Willie isn't just one of the greatest singer/songwriter/song stylists in the world, he a musical treasure.
But I have to admit, I'm even more excited about Willie's soon to be released new album project For The Good Times: A Tribute To Ray Price.
Many know that Willie and Ray were the closest of friends, and many also know that Willie was once a member of Ray Price's legendary band the Cherokee Cowboys (by the way, do you know what other country legend Willie replaced in the band? You'll find out in the video), and in the video you'll see and hear Willie with his famous friends in the studio recording music for the album, and sharing stories about how it came about.
The album is set to be released September 16th. I can't wait.
