Authorities Investigate ‘Suspicious’ Fire That Destroyed Bar

ROSLYN, S.D. (AP) — Authorities in northeastern South Dakota are investigating a suspicious fire that destroyed a bar.

The Day County Sheriff's Office says firefighters responded to the fire at the T-Ray's Bar and Grill in Roslyn about 4:30 AM Monday. The Roslyn Fire Department and other agencies battled the fire through the early morning hours and the building was deemed a total loss. No injuries were reported.

The sheriff's office says the blaze is considered "suspicious in nature" and remains under investigation. The South Dakota Division of Criminal Investigation and the state fire marshal are participating in the probe.
