Augustana Basketball Team on Historic Run
The run continues! The Augustana Basketball team continues to shred teams and now they advance on to the Regions.
Augustana men's basketball won its third game in as many days to capture the NSIC/Sanford Health Tournament with a 98-82 victory over MSU Moorhead (32-3) on Tuesday night in front of 3,203 fans at the Sanford Pentagon. The victory secured the first ever NSIC Tournament Championship since joining the league in 2008-09.
The run continues and the excitement for the Vikings continues. One of the best moves Augie could have made was moving their home games to The Sioux Falls Arena. They put in a new floor and with the chair back seats for everyone, it's a great place to watch a ball game.
The excitement jumped to a whole new level though when the Vikings found their shooting range at the Sanford Pentagon where the NSIC tournament was held.
This is a team that can run and shoot and with their length on the perimeter and size and strength inside, they'll be a tough out.
